☼ Coven - Blessed Is The Black LP

This album clearly shows its age. Some may even think it sounds older than it is, but you get all kinds of 'metal' on this one; Power metal, thrash metal, traditional heavy metal, doom metal, and all delivered with tongue firmly in cheek! (at least I hope so ;) The lyrics are straight-forward 'metal' themes; sickness, satan, sex, killing, steel, the dead, the rotting, and of course 'being metal' -- so much so that it seems almost mocking, or self-parody, but it's funny.
For fans of Piledriver, Nasty Savage, Exciter, Oz, Metal Church, Cyclone, Overkill, Mötorhead, Iron Angel, Manowar, Judas Priest, Malice, Venom... you get the picture ;)
